Next in the excellent-designed series of Norbu special-octal-guest star producer-extravaganza releases comes from Jan Nemecek. Hailing from our hometown of Belgrade, Serbia, he is most known for his excellent releases for Traffica label and some wicked releases under his Kalope moniker.
The tale of 50s style detective paranoia starts with the original version of somebody's watching me that tells the whole story in an almost funky way. Percussing throughout the dark alleys of mad keyboard playing skills, main groove, enhanced with some exquisite spatial resonating plucked marimba-kalimba work, spreads outburst of raw power on the dancefloor.
Baden-Baden rework as one should expect is all about the nonintrusive variations on the micro level of the feel. Many will disagree, but this edit perfectly calms every of the many anxieties brought by the original version, only to prepare us for the mind-blowing ambient version.
The last beatless edit of this track is perfect example of Jan's earlier work. As you should expect from someone that made his musical breakthrough in the ambient waters years ago, there is no compromise in this track arrangement. The sound treatment and space sculpting perfectly sits with the way that this track slowly builds, manipulating all the motives from the original.
Various - 20.02 Label: Wazzotic Records Catalog#: wzr020 Format: File, MP3, 320 kbps Country: Czech Republic Released: 2008 Genre: Electronic Style: Techno, Deep House, Minimal, Tech House, Experimental
Notes: If it all could seem like Wazzotic is not active any longer, the opposite is truth. Wazzotic took its deserved rest and gathered new powers for its new season. And the first piece of our new season is really worth listening. Because we have our anniversary 20th release and we also celebrate 2 years of our life (that's what from the name "20.02" comes from), we decided to dedicate this release both to our past and future. That's the reason why this release includes masterpieces by artists who are already connected with Wazzotic and we are really proud of it. And of course, we are proud in the same way because of this compilation also presents some new faces who will be connected with Wazzotic after this record. It is really nice to see and hear what group of really talented and completely outstanding artists put their works together to let originate such compilation. It is full of minimal and deep sounds and feelings in the same way as it is overfloating by energy and dancefloor killing. You really can be sure that we and our artists did our best to give the most unbeliavable experience in the world of electronic music.

Shapes & Sizes Surely there’s more to music than house and techno, right? The Chicago-based quartet that makes up Siteholder Records certainly thinks so. After launching a trio of successful labels (Siteholder UnCut and UnCut Ltd. making up the second and third), the group debuts its fourth imprint – Facet Recordings – aimed at exploring electronic sounds that go beyond the dance floor. The Facet catalog kicks off with a compilation, entitled “Shapes and Sizes,” and features faces both new and old to fans of the Siteholder sound. There are no limits, and Facet 001 gives a taste of what can be expected from this latest venture. Longtime Siteholder collaborator Jason Emsley introduces the alias Massif for his ambient exploration “Annapurna.” Larry Hall (also known as Bumpin’ Ugly) presents his latest alter ego, PerSe, for a pair of off-kilter trip hop productions: “Home” and “Slip.” Billy Dalessandro makes three appearances – one as himself for “High Fructose Corn Syrup,” one with Galuzska (under the Adjective alias) on “Cohiba,” and another with Hall (under the Ditech moniker) entitled “CLU.” Galuszka makes his debut as Pacific Atlas with a pair melodic downtempo numbers entitled “Modern Surveillence” and “Marbles in the Sky.” Brian Ffar presents us with “Lullaby,” a far cry from his respected tech house beats, but a welcome glimpse into the softer side of his production personality. Portugal’s Ilidio Chaves (better know as Expander) features Tania Carvalho on “Take 1,” a tripped-out space travel through piano madness. Rounding out this project are a pair of fresh faces – Netherlands-based mad scientist Brandon Invergo (a.k.a. Yeti Quest) and Arizona’s Steve Edwards. Yeti Quest’s “Grue / Yopo Lattice” takes the listener down the darker alleys of experimental electronic music, while Edward’s “Name Game” demonstrates that 4/4 beats are not off limit via this micro-click adventure. Facet 001 is a breath of fresh air into the Siteholder camp, and kicks off their latest project in an effort to expand the boundaries of electronic music beyond standard nightclub beats. We hope that you enjoy it!
Hey everyone. Today it's quite magic date. It's 22nd February (22.2.) and on this special date we proudly present our 22nd release! It's amazing how the 2s could be nice. And we are also very proud that this release is made by true talent of electronic music, DJ and producer Marbux from Argentina. We are sure that this guy has very hopeful future further. On this release called Salad Mix he presents his delicious taste for minimal and deep sounds combined excellently with nice, energy beats and feelings-full atmosphere. There is no need of other words, Marbux's pieces say it all themselves.
Say hello to Argentina and enjoy this excellent stuff!

Waveform - Atmospheric Trip EP Label: Random Access Recordings Catalog#: RAR033 Format: File, MP3, EP, 320 kbps Country: US Released: 09 Dec 2008 Genre: Electronic Style: Dub Techno, Dub, Tech House
Tracklisting: 1. Atmosphere Trip 2. Deep As We Like 3. Phase 4. Polar Anomaly 5. Source
Back again to bring the chill to your blood vessels is the one we call Waveform. Waveform brings us with him on his journey through deep rooted harmonic structures that are often hidden by hypnotic vertigo background type sounds. These are the deep tech sounds that one thinks of when they are walking alone in the outskirts of metro Detroit on a very cold chilly day, as the late PM approaches. Suitably soft melodies are beautiful but at the same time gritty and soulful. These tunes make you truely appreciate the little non-tangible blessing we take for granted everyday. The freedom we have to think, explore, and express ourselves. We thank you Waveform. You are beautiful and so is your art. Enjoy!!!
Tracklisting: 1 Arc Tella Mahonara (13:27) 2 Syllabus (8:23) 3 She Moves (7:48) 4 Right Through The New Market (9:08) 5 Where's The Butt (Lol Sexy Mix) (6:56)
Archipel has reached it's 50th digital release and what more appropriate way to mark the occasion than with label boss Pheek at the controls with "Moving the Wave" which is sure to excite many an alpha wave in many a head.
"Arc Tella Mahornara" and "Where's the Butt" ooze Jean-Patrice's trademark honey thick, bouncy, syncopated twirls and aural pirouettes as they seep rather comfortably into your amygdaloid movements.
"Syllabus" begins as a steady mercury studded roll and gradually wraps itself in origami folds of heavy hypnosis while "She Moves" and "Right Through the New Market" take on a liqueur sweet feel and wrap a flossy cocoon of warm and whispery candy textured timbres around your Coriolis spinal cord.
This release is now for free! If you wish to support the artist, it's still available on sale at your favorite mp3 shops such as WhatpeoplePlay or Beatport.
Le Cantin - My Lovely Moustache Label: Archipel Catalog#: ARCH051 Format: File, MP3, 320 kbps Country: Canada Released: 15 Oct 2008 Genre: Electronic Style: Techno, Minimal Credits: Mastered By - Pheek
Tracklisting: 1 My Lovely Moustache (7:37) 2 Innondation (6:22) 3 Homedry Jambess (6:40) 4 Link To Previous (7:10) 5 My Lovely Moustache (Kane Roth Remix) (6:39) Remix - Kane Roth
Already very familiar to Archipel is Le Cantin who stops at nothing short of his previous releases and brings his frothing deep and bass filled "My Lovely Moustache” to the table.
"Homedry Jambes" and "Link to Previous" reel in huge purring slabs of comforting low end which are held tightly inside subtle, luscious and intricate persian rugs of consistently moody and shuddering rhythms. "Innodation" adds a touch of swing and brews up a delicately patterned storm of mesmerizing phases of twilight heat while "My Lovely Moustache" sizzles in infrared and utilizes space to its advantage, filling it with light feedback bursts of twisted echoes.
Kane Roth is brought in for her take on "My Lovely Moustache" where she works hand in hand with the original spacey workout and dives even further into the echoing depths of softly and slowly melting, dusky feedback.

The founder of Miniatura Records, Argentina-based artist Grau, has come out with his Betty Loop EP for release no. 24 on the pentagonik netlabel. Minimal techno in its very classic style, the EP has straigt-forward, to-the-point dry beat arrangements, which lay the groundwork for his noisy reverbarated rythmic textures. A much needed daily dose.

It was not even a year ago that the phone talking with other "colleagues" of the Italian Netaudio felt the need for cooperation at that time as seen through simple or remix release from most downloaded netlabel. Homework Festival and then had all around the same table, in meetings and Negroni bolognini, words words words, the biggest project that the Italian underground may have seen. After several months of work and millions of ascii characters, 20 tracks of their 20 Italian netlabel are part of this compilation presented simultaneously in squares, cocktails, clubs, art galleries and afterparty in 6 cities of the peninsula. This is the first release, the business card of Nectar, a platform that gathers all the netlabel electronic Italy. Nectar does not deal with music, is to give space to those who produce music independently, in the narrowest sense: free from any kind of commercial purpose. In front of you you do not have a compilation, but you have the largest and ambitious project that has seen Italian underground. We have not made good music, I tried the best Italian electronic or best examples of netaudio Peninsula, we have simply created a space and we have pulled (sometimes by force!) All the reality of Italian netaudio, going beyond genres, styles , quality and friendliness. As may sound incredibly strange, this is an encyclopaedic work.
Jemset - Work EP Label: Audioexit Records Catalog#: Ae-Min008 Format: File, MP3, EP, 320kbps Country: Hungary Released: 2009 Genre: Electronic Style: Techno, Minimal
Tracklisting: 1 Typhanie (4:45) 2 Work It (6:06) 3 Document (7:21)
Last year Jemset had 7 digital/netlabel releases and several mixtapes. Audioexit releases now his first release this year. 26- year-old Frenchman continues to evoke the „Detroit-Berlin” line compounded with the contemporary minimal-techno. After his first Audioexit release, Train No.7 now he shows 3 different tracks on his EP. The initial Typhanie is a true minimal-tech, you have to play it loud to receive it. It comes from deep with assertive beats which generates dark, meditative state. After this track (which evokes 90’s Stewart Walker and Mikael Stavöstrand) the second one, Work It is a more dancefloor-oriented piece. Villalobos can come into your mind while you are listening but in this track the tune can’t dominate because of the background noises and distorted human speech. But Document’s (Track No.3) initial tune is a dominant moment. This crooning simply crawls into the structure of the track, which is more deranged by the noises and effects.
Tracklisting: 01. playing with sticks (19 M) 02. at the fire (15 M) 03. electrocrawl (16 M) 04. carton network (12 M) Quality minimal techno, the second work for inoQuo. from that big uruguayan artist, who already visited us in his earlier 042 release.
Monofónicos Netlabel begins 2009 with a very special surprise. Figueroa is a Colombian producer internationally recognized brings a record high with the excitement it deserves, freely sharing of cutting edge electronic music.
Made In Milk is the most accurate evidence of talent and style that transcends this artist as usual, with three powerful songs, refreshing and pushed to the limit of his personality. These are accompanied by 3 remixes full swing denser, with a delicious, delicate and harmonic abstraction that explores the music made with real passion.
Hello Friends, Minorscene is project coauthored by Verde and Deep. They produced “Figures ep” and We are very happy to present it. In this ep, we can find three original track, minimal techno, dark pads, powerful basses, and restless percussions. The other tracks are three remixes from Vincent Casanova, Mekas, and Lega & Maxeen. Three excellent tracks. The final sound was achieved by mastering Pheek.
Finally, the artwork was made by Tooco, an Argentine Illustrator and Designer.

Releasing a Various Artist compilation is always a good opportunity to mix up things a bit. And mixing is what we do on the "Spectral Park".The title is corresponding to the content of LP. It's a wide spectrum of what we turned our attention to, recently. Well respected artists meet their followers, and those that are stepping their first steps..An eclectic blend of new and old, slow and fast, sweet and sour, day and night - everything is to find on those thirteen fine tracks of our sampler. Few genres are represented on "Spectral Park" including several dub-influenced and minimal tracks, to mention only two of them.
We'd like to thank to all artist who contributed to to "Spectral Park'.
Santos Resiak – Miércoles EP catalog#: unfound39 date: february 04 2009 artist: santos resiak title: miércoles ep full release: mp3 format (89 MB) full release: lossless flac format (216 MB)
Tracklisting: 01. check my cumbia 02. enduido 03. miércoles 04. timba 05. lost weekend
argentina's santos resiak of immigrant and glückskind fame delivers five tracks of catchy minimal tech-house jammy-jams entitled miércoles ep. these ditties are light-hearted, jazzy, pleasantly haunting and dj-friendly. ranging from delightful organ riffs to tribal rhythms to dark minimal heady-ness, miércoles ep is a solid collection of clean, frolicsome jaunts each with a steady groove that djs need. so download this ep for free, and play and play and play until we get walloped by the next ice age.
If you've been tapping into Alt Recordings up to now, you'll be aware that we have a particular love for both killer grooves and loose-fit sound design. What we love more is when these two things are fused together, where you can't see the beat for the audio debris, yet the primary function of the track is to make you wiggle.
You can imagine our excitement to be bringing Erdbeerschnitzel to the fold then. With a sound so playful it might work best on kids TV shows (if you want to mash childrens brains into jelly), there's no doubt in our minds that Erds music is the perfect audio dynamite to be setting off in our online home.
From the split second that 'Drehundangelpunk' splats forth from the speakers it's clear what you're dealing with. A dizzying array of micro-samples hop, skip and jump around jostling for attention, all plastered onto a tight funk groove. This is proof if ever it were needed that experimental music can be a right old laugh.
The level of detail in the tracks is not unlike our own dear Storlon, but where he strives for a dark and strange land to transport you to, Erd' just wants you to come join his wonky party.
Tone Def steps up on remix duties, and delivers another prime slab of bounced-down booty business. Reining in the more wayward elements of 'Drehundangelpunk', Tone lets the funk ease its way into view, bringing in the perky keys for an all round feel good experience.
Get your year rolling the right way with a slice of divine altercation, pile the funk on heavy and butter your bread on both sides. Erdbeerschnitzel is on board and he wants to make you freak.
Note: some interesting details from Erd' on the track titles. 'Klaus Kroete' is a ditty penned for a toad named 'Klaus'. 'Miez und Muskel' roughly translates as 'Meeow and Muscle', so something akin to Jean Claude Van Damme making like a cat (quite a terrifying prospect).
Brandon Plank Vs. ?Hou-hou-hou-hou... House Nation...? You may remember this influential and classic house record from Farley ?Jackmaster? Funk; it helped define the jackin' Chicago sound that we've all come to love. We're very pleased to have been able to license the original and offer you these amazing 2009 renditions! The original is Brandon's minimal-techno version, which is true to the original track's signature bass and synth lines, but adds some great vocal edits and other elements. Woody McBride gave us a disgusting piece of techno mastery, as only DJ ESP could, with bass that is sure to rattle even the thickest of windows. Loudon Kleer gives us not only a bangin' remix, but a dub version; if you're into the synth of the original, but not too keen on the vocals, this is going to be the track for you. Denver friends Erik Mitchell and Brandon Bass both give us tracky and chuggin house renditions, but check out Brandon's if you're looking for more of a bouncy feel and Erik's if you like the tribal sound.
Many thanks to Jesse Saunders, Paulo and Woody for making this vision a reality.
Doubting Thomas: is a term that is used to describe someone who will refuse to believe something without direct, physical, personal evidence; a skeptic.
Two Circles has teamed up with French producer Doubting Thomas to bring you his brainchild, "Self-Definition". Compromised of six tracks, the release explores audible realms from the key infused 10 minute epic entitled "Augusta's Piano" to the bouncy rhythms of "Doubt Kills", stopping off along the way to explore the sounds of the more avant-garde side of electronica. The release fuses delicately sampled portions of everyday life with deep, hypnotic rhythms maintaining a surprisingly effective sonic image. The release is listenable the whole way through as it maintains a very prominent motif. Danceable while being thought provoking this release provides the listener with all sorts of soundscapes from across the board allowing the listener to dabble in whatever their mind's ear desires!
Tracklisting: 1. Augusta's Piano (10:32) 2. Back and Forwards (4:52) 3. Doubt Kills (5:36) 4. Prompt Minister (5:20) 5. The Story Behind the Picture (6:40) 6. The Real Thing (6:44)
We celebrate the coming of 2009 with our new release, [ouzo23] by Z@p, who presents us a live set which reflects the changes that have affected his sound during 2008. Separating himself a bit from the dark sound for which we have come to know him, and coming closer to the sounds of house and techhouse, Z@p brings us an hour of music in which he shows his ability to command the dancefloor and his abundant production (only three tracks from the set have been released: "Manija" and “Aspero" by TrautMuzik and "Rain" by Ouzo). aThe title "Dia y Noche" (Day and Night) is a reference to nature of the album, the first half of the set being more warm and relaxed and the second half leaning toward darker sounds. Enjoy this first months of the year with an exclusive material which brings us closer to the present sound of one our most respected artists.
