For sure, that bypass is impalpable...a shimmering surprise coordinated by an alchemist without blinkers. The nines...not the exception that proves hypothetical rules, enthusiastic, enterprising, after 32 notable references, ZhangJW have decided to call together new incomers (except Syndrôm) to be sure to give new avenues of investigation and jump over the trap of the first compilation exercice.

The leap is as graceful and elegant, as the reception carries a multitude of impressions and plurial feelings, without forgetting to mention the humor of some of the guests for their peking host - Alternately, an inspired lethargic dub, a dark blue frantic nostalgia, an unfinished and masterly track, a hit from Moscow or Esa giving us a strange ritournelle as a possible closure, a decoy.

The nine directions of that "S" are multiplied, for sure, but dotted with authentic free electrons in autonomy - particles in emulsion, crystallized for a moment, before a new mad rush, but I digress. Then, what about other assumptions, the classicism of a few times spent through the hills which are becoming more surprising and lyrical, or maybe the quiet and solid dematerialization of soundscapes orchestrated by a Sorin Paun at his best, saved in extremis in a scenographic loop history, a mysterious next door, finally closed by an off voice, on a laconic "bacteria bacteria" previously demonstrated through orientalism by Materia Prima as a high definitive testimony on monitors.

Finally, is it still really necessary to specify that "the nines" is not a nice illustrated catalog...

While Foor the Rich bears more than a passing resemblance to its predecessor, it also explores slightly darker territories. Crank up the bass on this one. But even though it's deeper and beats harder, it'll leave you in a dreamy, nearly weightless state.

'Social realism' is the debut release of the london based artist federsen. his debut ep contains three original tracks which drift between gently sequenced chords upon lush beats and subtle details on the fx. this one is for those who like it smooth and atmospheric - laidback electronic music for the pre-summer between the poles of detroit, chillout and house! last but not least we asked sensual physics to complete the ep with a remix for you!

'Nature Of mind' kicks things off with plashy beats and mildly vocoded breathings. the following track 'all things are numbers' is more enigmatic and glances in between hall rooms on a slow 808 beat, while 'epoch' is a tad more uplifting with it's driving chords, twirling effects and detroit arpeggios. last but not least we asked sensual physics to complete the ep with a remix to prepare the people for his coming new album on thinner! his mix builds on a single long stretched chord to later develop into a slender, yet concentrated clubby opener, which is open and warm at the same time.

Pat Fontes’ last Airpod was 10 episodes ago… what happened in between? So much! Three weeks back, Pat went to NYC to open for the Tora Tora Tora showcase at Bar 13. Dietrich Schoenemann, Miro Pajic and Pat dropped some serious Techno music that frightened more than one! Back in Boston and in between opening for Dario Zenker and making music in the secret and record-coated Patcave, the Superman still finds time to take it easy. As Pat himself defines it: “long walks on the beach with some serious dank and the occasional rub and tug after eating steak”. A dream life you would say, but do remember that Pat is the hardest working of all. So that occasional rub always comes as the most deserved.

Rub with the lady or Tug with the records, it’s all the same for Pat Fontes - LOVE. On this mix one can definitely feel the summer warmth enveloping the mood. With tracks by the Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Larsson, Christian Burkhardt and Minilogue, Pat sets the tone here for his brilliant summer, and I am weighing my words.
