Here is another free release from Absys Records.This time it’s a compilation entitled “Deep East” consisting of two EPs that seem to be quite different from each other, but in fact they have much in common as far as the general mood is concerned. The central motif of this project is atmospheric , minimal & experimental d’n’b. We would like to present to you the creative output of some already known or fresh and upcoming artists from Russia & Ukraine. This way you can get familiar with microfunk as seen by the likes of Diswork from St.Petersburg, responsible for the deep and hypnotic “Pollus”, Kiev’s Physical Illusion – the author of melancholic “1945” or Nuage & D.Intelligent – the producers of jazz-flavoured “Something About Us”. The listeners would also be able to experience a solid dose of modern drum & bass from Ultracode who – as part of this particular project – reveals his deep nature as a producer in “All that between”.

Another solid series of deep sounds from Absys Records stable. This time, however, drum & bass gives way to a different type of music, usually defined broadly and encompassing genres like idm, ambient, breakbeat or dubstep, but at the same time always well-acknowledged by similarly different listener environments. We’re talking about “Details” LP – the newest album by the Polish producer collective known as FusionArt. Recently there have been some changes in the group – the producer duo has been joined by MC Susiah whose role is to soften the otherwise rough and austere tracks with her soft but spirited vocals, thus supplementing the already coherent whole by additional intriguing details, as it is the case with the deep, slightly metallic “Believe” or the dreamy “Details”. The album’s main asset is precisely the abundance of details that can draw the attention of the listener for a longer while and make a seemingly plain tune very interesting. It appears that FusionArt have mastered the skill of combining simple solutions with attractive ornamentation. Just listen to “Echolocation” and flow with the regular, catchy samples or relax with the melancholic, yet optimistic “Ghost” and finish the day with the sentimental and moody “Portrait”. With each track reaching for and raising different emotions, “Details” LP is another evidence for the fact that electronic music does not have to be devoid of human factor and it certainly proves that FusionArt deservedly enjoy their good reputation and what you can expect from them in the future is only the best.
