After first signings on Perlon and various EPs on labels such as Neuton music, Sender and Wir, Yapacc releases a whole EP of his own on Lessizmore Records digital sub-division.
This EP shows how Yapacc is an eclectic producer of electronic music, he explores different parts of this culture and perfectly integrates them into his music.
Tales & Mystery is a mixture of what Brendon Moeller and Jackmate could do best in their respective genres, tech-dub and deep house. Along its progression the track goes more and more into a cosmic trip without ever making it laughable.
Shiba is an Akufen-like track, something dynamic, funny, itchy and mainly based on overcut vocal samples. An habile sequence of syncopated rhythms catches the listener till the end.
Astronaut is closer to Yapacc’s work on his full length album Nirvana Beach, it integrates Mike Oldfield and Tangerine Dream influences. The multiple echoes, the synths and the guitar riffs are giving a mystical tone to the track.
SB Lounge is the most surprising track of the EP. Much more techno than the rest of the EP, it’s not as cool as its title could seem but mostly focused on mechanical and dark sounds with percussions sounding like Dubfire’s.
