Bloody Mary’s ‘Black Pearl’ made quite a splash this summer, receiving a storm of praise from DJs and critics alike – especially impressive considering it was her debut album, as well as the first full-length record on Contexterrior. Awarded 4 out of 5 stars from DJ Mag and Resident Advisor, and getting play from a wide cast of DJs (Tiefschwarz, Adam Beyer, Luciano and so on), ‘Black Pearl’ has set itself apart as contender for techno album of the year! One of the standout tracks was “Sed non Satiata”, marked by its latino flair and gritty spoken word from Argenis Brito (vocalist for Señor Coconut’s touring band as well as a producer in his own right with releases on Cadenza).
