Frech und saexy trappelt das Produzententeam mit Ihrer neuen dörty EP ins elektronische Feld. Säxy betörrt dabei mit minimaler Dreistigkeit und entwickelt sich zu einem trompetigen Monster und lässt hier wieder die vorpreschende Stilvielfalt erkennen, die wir anstreben.
Dörty wirkt deeper und beherbergt die großen Gefühle, Melancholie gepaart mit Hoffnung, Sanft und weich steigt man ein, wird mitgenommen von einer kompositorisch komplexen Mischung und verliert sich in dem Dialog der Instrumente. Doch die beiden schaffen auch bei diesem Stückchen Techno, dass Emotion drückt und tanzbar ist.

Carneval
Bongo and shaker take on some folk rhythms, a diverse synth-ensemble flickers melodies like a Bing Band in Rio. Putting all styles between minimal and maximal into one box, but still with smooth round edges.
How to Survive Above the Clouds
An impulsive, slightly respectless motif moves along its metallic synth, concisely fathoming the whole sound spectrum along with a punching and grating saw-bass, thus filling every frequency band to the max. Being a highlight to all of Funkenstroems gigs, this clash of Rave, Techno and Electro has put the crowd in a wild frenzy ever since. Sure bet!

Man darf den Filter jetzt aufdrehen und die Drums auch mal wieder ganz offen über die Tanzfläche schieben. Ausgelassen groovige Saxophone, Orgeln und verdrehte Pianos treffen sich mit fordernd klatschenden Drums und feiern auf einer subbig vor sich hin pumpenden Bassline ein rauschendes Fest.
Der Hang zu warmen, melodiösen Spielereien ist schon auf seinen vorhergehenden Releases zu bewundern, dass er diesmal in Brass getünchte Gefilde abtaucht ist ein Novum.
Man betritt hier einen voluminösen Stilmix in 2 Titeln, der ein Gefühl ausgelassener Leichtigkeit hinterläßt.
