RECTO VERSUS serie : an artist from the label remixes and is remixed by other musicians, coming from LCL or invited.

" After Volfoniq on volume 1, the second opus of the "Recto Versus" serie puts an artist from the label at the center of a vast collaborative work that lasted for one year and spreads over several countries.
Arrogalla and his colleagues expose their vision of a generous and universal musical language, using numerous sonic vocables : dub, lofi, dubstep, minimal, electronica, chiptune, funk, deviant hiphop, ... "
LCL - May 2010

" All remixes are based on a urban reinterpretation of my life's reality. I live in a small town that has agricultural/rural culture in which has been introduced an overbearing urbanization in the 80's.
These elements are in constant conflict and I have represented both their contradictions. A lot of vocal samples come from the Sardinian traditional extemporaneous poetry forms joined to sounds obtained by Casio keyboards and other 8bit instruments.
However, the main suggestion is determined by artists that have shared some emotions and impressions with me..."

Vinilette - Bliss (CarteBlanche vol.2)
Label: Les Cristaux Liquident
Catalog: LCLCB 02
Format: MP3 320 Kbps
Released: Dec 2009
Genre: Electronic
Style: House
mastering : Dr Slump
cover : Fanny Rossi

WHISPERES ABOUT THE EP
“Bliss” is a travel to the bleep, cosmic, wandering sounds that reminds some influences of the ‘90s decade, between melancholic and shiny emotions. The remixes were executed by the artists I know who understood my sound and have a close musical mood. My intention : show the diversity of styles and the huge talent of Catalan musical scene nowadays.
Thanks to LCL for your warm support, to the remixing artists for your good work, to my family and specially to my father."

" This EP is our second "Carte Blanche", a serie that aims to focus on artists far from our usual musical line in order to share sonic discoveries. So be warned : THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DUB ;) For this opus, we present Vinilette, a spanish female electronic music producer and DJ we met at the Netaudio Berlin festival in october 2009. We had the idea of this spontaneous release talking with her, and serve it to you fresh as sushi (we discover the result with you!). Be ready for some subtle progresive electronica & techno with a slice of house !"

Tracklist:
1. Where I go (Original)
2. Where I go (Shelby Grey remix)
3. Where I go (Sendo remix)
4. Where I go (Oscarfly remix)
5. Esplendor (Original)
6. Esplendor (Sonia Keating remix)

Label: Les Cristaux Liquident
Catalog: LCL19
Format: MP3 320 Kbps
Released: Nov 2009
Genre: Electronic, Reggae
Style: Dub, Electro, Experimental
mixing & cover : ZXDK

" Three digits in" is inspired by dub reggae, from old 70's dub right up to the wonderful jahtari label, i love bleeps and bass and the sci fi movie samples then add a bit of j saul kane (depth charge, octagon man etc) and you have "throw them into darkness" with extra rave stabs and jittery run stop percussion carry that on with a dose of electro, mix in some acid and you have "zph1" which goes for an old school acid track feel, i was thinking of atom tm with this one. "

ZXDK

" LCL welcomes ZXDK, an enigmatic producer from Glasgow, Scotland, who delivers smashing lo-fi electronic machineries. The first track is an unstopable dubby monster, on track two the atmosphere becomes spooky as in a twilight zone special, and Zph1 surprisingly invites you to an acid techno travel. You'll discover this EP is not harmless... "
