Wham! Coming at you like a bolt from the blue is a progressive techno monster from Der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. The pitch-shifting madness and deep rumbling bass in Seeking Nothing will leave your ears happy and neighbors pissed! And of course this wouldn't be a Manifest Northwest release without some solid mind-melting action, and Cycles delivers. Winiberg at his finest, proving without a doubt his skills as a musician's musician. Make no mistake, you WILL hear this name again!
Cover: Mt. Shasta, located in Northern California and maintained by the US Forest Service of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, is the fifth largest mountain in the state sitting at just over 14,000 ft. above sea level. Although falling within the Cascade mountain range, Shasta itself stands alone, dwarfing anything within the immediate countryside. Classified as a stratovolcano, the last known eruption was believed to be in 1786. Although dormant, the next eruption will likely occur within the next couple of hundred years

sea.envy vs. Deformaty - Contamination Response
Label: Manifest Northwest Recordings
Catalog#: MNW005
Format: 4 x File, MP3
Country: US
Released: 28 Feb 2010
Genre: Electronic
Style: Techno
Another genre-defying effort from sea.envy starts off this battle of the beats, coming at you dark and hard. This one is just begging for a response. Psy-tech ninja Deformaty answers that call, bringing an equally dark tune to the table. With a large portion of acid squelch and a kick thumping away like a heartbeat on overdrive, all layered upon a bed of tribal percussion, the infection is contained, but not without further damage. In a metphorical creation of something from nothing, UK trance guru John Dalling spins a melodic twist on the original biological threat. Feeling the breath of new life, the virus continues to spread, but all is not lost as Chris Firenze steps in to end it all for certain. Wielding his mighty minimal techno weaponry, the threat is contained. It is safe to say, that in this battle there are no losers - and the true winner is you. Thanks for listening and please enjoy responsibly!

Mr. Nemo has been a long time personal favorite, and we couldn't be more excited to bring him into the fold. This funky minimal stomper of an EP is filled to the brim with block rockin' beats that are guaranteed to shuffle up those feet. Relentless and in the best way possible, Ready Or Not delivers it pounding like it should be, and as always with that Nemo signiature blend of funk and function! Here I Come builds like a storm, at once dark and brooding yet with an airy, uplifting feeling throughout. Give it a listen and you'll see what I mean! Both tracks come correct and are GUARANTEED to fill the floor - or your money back!
Cover: "And the skies are not cloudy all day..." Wait, but they are here in the Northwest. Statistically, Portland, OR sees about 222 cloudy days a year, that is to say a day that has the sky covered in clouds for at least 7/10ths of the daylight hours. Astoria, which lies on the coast of Oregon at it's Northwestern-most tip, averages about 239 days of grey. Seattle, WA? 226 days a year. Olympia, Washington's capital, recieves 228 cloudy days annually. When you consider that Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, NV both only see around 73 days of overcast skies yearly, you can begin to imagine how it stays so lush and green here in the Northwest. (Cloud cover data taken from the Western Regional Climate Center, found on the web at "http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/").

(MNW 003) Chris Firenze - Duplicity
Chris Firenze - Duplicity
Label: Manifest Northwest Recordings
Catalog#: MNW003
Format: 3 x File, MP3, 320kbps
Country: US
Released: 10 Jan 2010
Genre: Electronic
Style: Techno
Starting the new year off proper, Portland's minimal-tech hero Chris Firenze brings three very bangin' tracks to the table. After successful releases on SubSensory Recordings last year as well as a frantic DJ/Live PA schedule, we couldn't be happier to have him aboard for this stunning release. Kicking it off, 'Some May Say' is a bass heavy tech house deal with a glitchy synth line that finishes as strong as it starts. On to the real crowd pleaser - the title track 'Duplicity' is catchy tune with a kickin' melody, a true showing of this man can do! Rounding off this release is the heavy edit which is a killer reworking that comes bigger and harder, and is the perfect alternative when the original won't cut it. If you like your techno with substance and style, Mr. Firenze won't disappoint.
Cover: One of the many, many parks open year-round for public use within the city of Hillsboro, Rood Bridge Park covers 61 acres and features many amenities including a boat launch into the Tualitin River, a large playground structure for the little ones, many trails through the forested areas along the winding creeks, and let us not forget the ample onsite parking. The park is also home to the Lloyd Baron Rhododendron Garden, a project that began in 2002 to showcase the diverse varieties of the flower, which was designated as Hillsboro's official city flower in 1962.
Tracklist:
1 Some May Say 6:40
2 Duplicity (Original Mix) 5:48
3 Duplicity (Heavy Edit) 7:19

Format: 3 x File, MP3
Country: US
Released: 01 Dec 2009
Genre: Electronic
Style: Techno
Notes: This music is released purely for the pleasure of bringing awesome beats to the ears of those who will listen, at no cost to you.
Tracklist:
1 Revy - Brinstar 9:15
2 sea.envy - 4ACB (ampo) 6:56
3 Deformaty - Graveyard Shift 6:08
Yup, the first release, and it's good! The whole affair begins with a techno number
that builds and builds and builds from our good friend Revy, himself no stranger to the Northwest. As further proof that he can bust out some bleeping good music, be sure to keep an ear out for his own upcoming label early next year. Up next is a hard to define track from label founder sea.envy with a growling arpeggiated bassline that will leave you wanting more for sure. Bringing it home and in fine fashion is a chugger from newcomer Deformaty. Known up and down the left coast for mixing the best of the beats and breaks, he shows us here exactly what techno should sound like. A real treat for your feet, this track should fit well into any peaktime set and is sure to impress.
