Holland's answer to Hard Wax? Europe's answer to Submerge? The best way to describe the contribution of Amsterdam's Rush Hour store and label to the electronic music scene over the past 13 years is probably just to point out that they've always trodden their own path. From humble beginnings selling records out of a student apartment, to treks around the globe hunting down undiscovered gems, Rush Hour have made a massive contribution to the promotion of artists from both their local scene and from further afield. Simultaneously promoting young talent while building connections with House and Techno's old-guard, the last 6 months alone has seen them reissue Virgo's pantheon-residing Virgo LP, two long sought-after 12s from Rick Wilhite, as well as a stream of consistently essential releases from the likes of Tom Trago, Aardvarck, and Nebraska.

We recently caught up with label boss Christiaan for a chat about Rush Hour's past present and future and he also kindly provided us with a mix of Trax classics and unclassics for your enjoyment, which you can grab below the interview

Azari & III, pronounced "a-zar-ee and third", the coven on Toronto based duo Dinamo Azari and Alixander III, have garnered love and praise from the people, the press and the DJs, and continue to make playful, seductive and challenging musical artifacts sure to stand the test of time.

With a sound futuristic and reminiscent, bold tracks like 'Hungry For The Power' and the brazen 'Reckless (With Your Love)' have made their way onto the top of the taste makers' charts and into the sets of many renowned DJs, but they are not just an underground hit machine. Highly charged disco-tronic dancfloor mayhem is plentiful, so are undeniable hooks, but other material wanders into uncharted territory with eerie analog manipulations and constantly evolving soundscapes, sure to lead you in and lead you on...

With an EP and single separately debuting in Fall/Winter 09, a shocking art noire music video just released, a barrage of new remixes and live appearances scheduled worldwide for 2010, Azari & III also have a full length album set for release in Spring and many new releases in between.

Dinamo Azari promotes and releases underground music through his label Automatt, is half of Una Aventura with Sal Principato and founder of Pan Tiki Soundsystem.

Alixander III, also responsible for Dirty 30 and Smutmachine, is producing records and occasionally film scores at his studio Parkdalian in the Lower Westside Toronto, currently working with Isis (Thunderheist), Young Flux and Don Cash.

So here's a brand new mix from a recent addition to the Warm family and one to watch for 2010: Softwar.

Softwar are the Sydney-based Myles Du Chateau and Jeremy Lloyd and here they've put together just under an hour of lush disco and slow-burning house for your enjoyment! Coming up they've got a remix of Groove Armada's forthcoming single 'Paper Romance' (which you can still check out on our Soundcloud page here) and a remix on Two Door Cinema Club's upcoming 'Undercover Martyn' EP on Kitsune. On top of all that their original material will soon be debuted in the form of 'Colour Flight', which will be the opening track on Kitsune's forthcoming Gildas & Masaya Tokyo mix CD which is due for release in February. So watch this space!

Tiago Miranda is one half of Mendes & Alçada (Claremont 56), Slight Delay (Rong/Eskimo), and along with DJ Kaos forms T&K, who released the 100% Warm-approved piano-driven belter 'Mucho Swash' on Italians Do It Better towards the end of last year. He resides off the south Portuguese coast and has maintained a weekly residency at Lisbon's club Lux for the last decade.
