[Edinburgh, UK. May 9, 2011] -- Gavin Sutherland (Fudge Fingas) is in it to win it. With over 15 years of record store industry experience and a smattering of "goes" at production, he's recently been making some provocative gems on heavy hitting labels (namely Firecracker and Prime Numbers). While many a pureyor of dance music will hear "Detroit house and techno" influence in his productions, many of us should admit that generalizations of this kind can't adequately describe much of anything anymore (the term referring to so many things). So what does he make? Well, Sutherland makes what any producer can only aspire to being able to -- to communicate the depth and breath of their collective influence, emulating bits and pieces of anything and everything that they've ever come in touch with. Via the Fudge Fingas project, don't be surprised to pick up on some ghetto booty, UK cooking, a half-rack of Pacifico, fresh cilantro, three-and-a-half-tons of vinyl, a loving family, tooth-and-cheek sensibility, and other such happy times...
