"So this is it: I'm very proud to present my first release! With help of the Swish I finally managed to compile some of my tracks, a mixture of old and new material I've been producing over the last few years, experimenting with the possibilities of my setup and doing my personal interpretation of Acid!
I hope you will like the tracks and I'm looking forward to hear your feedback, positive or negative, as there's still so much to learn for me!

I have to say thanks to all good electronic music out there for keeping me inspired,
thanks to all people who believe in me and support what I do, and of course thanks to Swishcotheque Records for putting this one out!!"

[sws 042] The Pad Foundation - Variations On a Theme

The Pad Foundation - Variations On a Theme

Catalog#: sws042
Format: 9 x File, MP3, 320 kbps
Country: UK
Released: 09 Sep 2010
Genre: Electronic
Style: IDM, Downtempo, Ambient

Variations on a Theme is the latest collection of music from The Pad Foundation.

The concept of the album is based on the classical tradition of developing complete pieces of work based around a single musical theme. The pad foundation has worked to a similar discipline and produced an album where the tracks all have something in common.

A number of tracks use the same sounds, some are based around the same chord progression, others use common rhythmical devices and occasionally vocal samples from one track will echo across into another.
The resulting work is an album that has a very strong identity and a cohesive quality that binds the individual tracks together to make a true album of contemporary electronica

1. Dream Sequence
2. Hangover day
3. Scotch Mist
4. Elastoplast
5. Red
6. Snow Day
7. The Last Stand

[sws 041] Die Blutige Hand - Elka LP

Die Blutige Hand - Elka
Label: Swishcotheque
Catalog#: sws041
Format: 10 x File, MP3, 320 kbps
Country: UK
Released: Aug 2010
Genre: Electronic
Style: IDM, Experimental

This well respected polymath returns to Swishcotheque with a full length album this time. Elka is his most accessible, emotional, and colourful release so far.

The first tracks give good indication of his uplifting, bizarre and more melancholy musical facets, as well as showcasing his friendly beat structures and idiosyncratic contrapuntal delights. The whole release takes you through various flavours and emotions effortlessly; conflating in the catharsis of "Fire", before the last tune, broad and relieved, rounds the album up.

Elka was composed during a 'very productive phase' in the autumn and winter of 2008, as an 'antidote from and against the dark and cold part of the year' and became his version of 'cosy braindance'.
In spring 2009 he decided to re-work and enhanced the music for release on our netlabel.
