IS 250 – Versalife (aka Conforce) [Frustrated Funk, Transcendent, Delsin]

IS 250 – Versalife (aka Conforce) [Frustrated Funk, Transcendent, Delsin]

Boris Bunnik has been relentlessly producing music for the past 8 years. Having explored different possibilities and genres with his many projects, 2015 saw the Dutch artist releasing as Conforce Presentism. The album showed a diverse collection of sounds together creating tracks of finely crafted techno that have both an emotional and physical impact. But it is with his Versalife alias that the prolific artist has delivered the present set entitled Program or be Programmed made essentially of unreleased material.

Dispatch Agency Podcast #19 – Mixed By Moodcut

Dispatch Agency Podcast #19 – Mixed By Moodcut
Who is moodcut? This is a question being thrown around pretty frequently these days and rightly so, since dropping the ‘Tame Cats’ EP on nous-disques back in November, moodcut has gone from being an unknown artist to a producer being tipped for bigger and better things in 2015.

For this Podcast, moodcut-1 has brought together a serious selection of dusty house burners, Chicago and Detroit infused cuts and the hazy aspects of what made his Nous EP (and his own production) so damn infectious. Tracks from terekke, patriciaaa, route8, willis-anne and Kassem Mosse all helping to showcase the buzz and excitement that currently surrounds house music, which in (a large) part is down to labels such l-i-e-s, lobster-theremin, opal-tapes, nous-disques and Workshop, to name a few.

No matter how many more questions get asked, one thing’s for certain, moodcut just killed it with this mix.
Thanks for all the support during 2014. See you on the other side.

Tracklisting:
1. Cloudface – 612 (Going Good)
2. Terekke – Bank 3 (L.I.E.S.)
3. Patricia – Josephine (Black Opal)
4. Independence Ave. Orchestra – Welfare (Proibito)
5. Spoiled Drama – The Sun In Your Face (Route 8 Remix) (Nous)
6. Miltiades – WA4.sun (Echovolt)
7. Route 8 – Cruising (Lobster Theremin)
8. Geena – How Sensitive (Antinote)
9. Willis Anne – The C Track (Nous / Berceuse Heroique)
10. Felix T – Moonshine (Wild Open Space)
11. Hinode – Escape (Monkey Bar)
12. 45 ACP – Breakin Out (Dog In The Night)
13. Kassem Mosse – Track 9 (Workshop)

SNTWN Podcast 054 - Chevel - 12/2013

Italian techno scene moves without cheating in the European electronic landscape. We include, without limitation, Donato Dozzy, The Analogue Cops, Emanuele Pertoldi or Hydergine.
Stroboscopic Artefacts on notice, author of the first installment of the series must Monad, Chevel are laying the foundation of a cavernous and completely hypnotic sound that also grow on the Spanish label "No Series". Founder of the label Enklav, it is also the source of "Monday Night" project oriented strangely deep house. Require meticulous, we feel that the Italian puts his brain in the service of productions with a unique atmosphere. So sharp sound aesthetic that boggle the common music lovers on uncharted planets.
Judge for yourself in this podcast. Forbidden pleasures, jerky rhythms, dark universe and crackles in the program!

Smoke Machine Podcast 093 Etapp Kyle

Smoke Machine Podcast 093 Etapp Kyle
Etapp Kyle [ Klockworks / Prologue ] Ukraine

Sprint from a position of stay-at-home audiophile to a status of hero at decks, attracting attention of nightclubbers, took only a few months for Etapp Kyle. Enlisting friends’ support and interest from Russia’s legendary techno club ARMA17, the artist made his first appearance in Moscow a couple of years ago. Now it’s clear that he did it right – subsequent visits to Moscow gave no reasons for doubts about his competence, but also showed how rapidly the young resident of Western Ukraine was developing.
Today Etapp Kyle is on threshold of a new period of creative activity in a company of notable players of global techno scene. Results of his studio work receive serious interest from truly remarkable labels. Thus, in 2013 one of his tracks appears at minMAX compilation by Richie Hawtin's M_nus, and right away his debut 4 track vinyl gets released by the famous Ben Klock's Klockworks. His music receives strong support from the most important players of the scene, channeled through soundsystems of techno festivals worldwide.
Performing in front of a dancefloor the most sophisticated combinations, he invites to check the depths of a piercing cold canyon, then fleetingly carrying to a textural and almost tangible landscape of a forest at night, with its inherent softness and smooth motion of warm air. Love to dynamic, dark sound finds its expression in mixing with soft melodies, and powerful groove in his music competes with transparent, disembodied imprints of illusory atmosphere.ny people out there dedicating themselves to this kind of music.

Kontext releases New Album 'Dysphoria'

Kontext - Dysphoria
Label: Klammklang - klamm01
Format: LTD Cassette, Digital
Release: 05 Nov 2013

Following on from a number of remarkable vinyl cuts on Bristol’s Immerse Records, St. Petersburg’s Stanislav Sevostyanikhin returns with the first new Kontext mini album in almost four years, with the most cogitative and self-reflective one to date.
As if being himself in a sonically altered state of consciousness, Stanislav manipulates crepuscular soundscapes and artfully programmed rhythms channelling the aural feel of solitude to the listeners, putting you into a sort of outerworld yet internally-focused context.

Opening with some creepy voice samples captured from vintage Soviet psychiatric records (‘Preamble’) Side A features producer’s trademark murky dubtech with its stomping beats, playful percussions and Detroit-like synth chords.
Further Side B unveils a wide range of maneuvers and stunts that have been previously kept in secret in Kontext’s music production arsenal: vinegary bleeps and synth lines (‘Acid Shower’), an eerie mantra-esque verses by featuring Ukranian poet Liza Gotfrik (‘Emergence’) and an obscure dub piece unexpectedly turning into a rave party in purgatory (‘A Man Who Escaped’).

Tracklist:
A1 Preamble
A2 Jumping Into The Void II
A3 The Night Of The Sweaty Knives
A4 Dreams Of A Reason
A5 Anxiolytic Effect
B1 Acid Shower
B2 The Man Who Escaped
B3 Emergence (feat. Liza Gotfrik)
B4 Postscriptum

Music by Stanislav Sevostyanikhin
Voice & lyrics in B3 by Liza Gotfrik
Video by Taras Gesh

Album 'Dysphoria' will be released on the new cassette imprint Klammklang on 5th November!

Exactly there, the beauty of the nature, mountain landscapes and sea forms his love to all fine, art and music. Worked as a Dj, Evgeny decides to record music himself. DJ Skirt was born in Houston Texas and has been residing in Birmingham UK for the last decade. She bought her turntables in 1998 and has been mixing vinyl ever since, having played records in many techno clubs all over the UK and internationally in places like Berlin, Athens, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Dublin, Amsterdam in recent years.

DJ Skirt started producing her own music in 2001 and has released records on Horizontal Ground, Frozen Border, Semantica and remixes on labels such as Semantica, Perc Trax and Sect. Her production style is somewhat different to her DJ approach. Her own productions and remixes often show a much more experimental side of the artist, however when she is behind the decks it is purely the intention to devastate the dancefloor with dark and powerful techno beats to make the body move.
