Polvos Azules es el seudónimo de Giancarlo Samamé con el cual firma estas composiciones como solista. Este disco titulado simplemente Instrumentales representa su ópera prima. El también es parte del duo de música electrónica El Paso.

Este disco es una colección de 14 composiciones compuestas y producidas entre los años 2006 y 2010, que por fin ven la luz luego de un arduo trabajo intercalado con otras actividades artísticas y cotidianas. Se trata de un disco de música instrumental de fácil escucha, con un estilo muy particular producido por medios electrónicos. Es un album lleno de melodías agradables, ritmos bailables en su gran mayoría y una gran carga de experimentación en cada composición.

Algunas de estas composiciones han aparecido en distintas recopilaciones producidas por Dorog Records: Música para Chacchar (2006) con el tema Reconstrucción del Tiempo y Música Clandestina (2009) con Construyendo Ruinas (bajo el seudónimo de Los Curacas).

Woodland Heights' sophomore LP has gone through many changes: once planned to be a straight electro-pop record, it evolved into a mostly acoustic affair drenched in meditations on death after a potentially fatal car accident frontman Evan Benoit was involved in [which sent two of his friends to the hospital (everyone ended up being fine, thank goodness!]). But what ended up transpiring lies in these 10 tracks - a mix of synths, acoustic guitars, atmospheric noise and electric rhythms that flourish and grow throughout the length of Famous Last Words.

Famous Last Words is a mediation on control. From the fuck-it-all one-take track "I Remember" to the ramshackle wholly improvised closer "First Time in a Long Time", Benoit finds himself loosening vocal control and letting whatever leaves his mouth come out and stay out. On the other end of the spectrum lay catchy pop songs like "Perfect Strangers" and "Votive" which showcase tighter rhythm and vocal performances from Benoit.

And keep a lookout in the new year because Woodland Heights has several big things in the pipe-line including a music video, a Famous Last Words appendix EP and an experimental concept album based on a nuclear holocaust entitled World War Whatever.

B for Brontosaurus is everything there is to love in the world of indie pop. Quirky waves of lyrics interweaving with non-traditional instrumentation transport you back to a different age. Every song dabbles in harmonies as the trio trade in guitar and bass for the occasional synth, piano or harmonica. For those familiar with B for Brontosaurus' debut full length, expect a mellow listen with the Home EP. This is their quiet farewell to the world after breaking up in 2008. The Home EP channels a similar mystique to that of Magnetic Field's “69 Love Songs.” From the opening ditty, "Love Story," to the upbeat “Trace,” these songs are soaked in love and mystery. The EP closes with a short but beautifully haunting untitled number that only leaves us with questions. Whoever is gone, the band or someone close, they deserve a moment of silence. We'll miss you, B for Brontosaurus, just as much as you'll miss us.

El proyecto hace su aparición dentro de la escena underground limeña en 1999 y se daría a través de su participación en un compilado titulado La Pandilla Basura, con la que conseguirían hacerse conocidos dentro del circuito musical y además, serían catalogados según el programa 2001 de Helene Ramos, como grupo revelación.

Nace por parte de Carlos "El Buitre" Velásquez, Carlos "Zetangas" García y Ernesto "Neto" Pérez en el bajo, guitarra y batería respectivamente.

"Abrumado con todas las posibilidades que se podían tener con un PC, me dediqué a probar con todo lo que encontraba y terminaba en canciones, luego saqué el CD y al proponerme tocarlo en vivo recién lo transformé en un grupo de rock, porque no quería tocar yo solo con la PC, quería un grupo y así funcionó". La versión física del disco también rompieró esquemas al incluir vídeos y canciones en mp3, aparte de los 8 temas que ahora ponemos a tu disposición.

Ellos siguen trabajando en una nueva producción, mucho más pegado a la electrónica. Incluimos el tema Koto en el compilatorio Dos Más, volumen 1, editado por Dorog Records.

Ahora ponemos a su disposición esta reedición virtual exclusiva para Dorog Records, convirtiéndose en un nuevo clásico del rock peruano.
