His releases on Re(Form), Knotweed Records, Fluxus en Krill Music have gained him a lot of well-deserved attention so far and we're going to see a lot more from him, no doubt.

I think I'll let the music speak for itself now and share the love for wicked beats and awesome techno Myk Derill brings to the table. Enjoy this week's Invite's Choice! "

This time on EAR an EP of CERN. CERN is an alis of ZZX an is dedicated to the scientists of CERN lab in Geneva, where they try to explain, with the help of experiments, to explain the the big bang and the beginning of everything (and maybe also the end). Higgs part 1.0 is a techno track with some nervous bleeps and blaps. In the beginning is more of a techhouse track, with a very nice rhythmloop in it and in the second part a dark technostab. Lightspeed is a harder track with acid influences.
This EP is stricktly ment for the dancefloor. Enjoy!

Various Artists - Futur[e]cho 2
Label: Cold Fiction Music – CFM036
Format: 5 × File, MP3, 320kbps
Country: US
Released: 25 May 2012
Genre: Electronic
Style: Techno, Dub Techno, Ambient

Following the success of the first installment of CFM’s Futur[e]cho series, a plan for a sequel was soon put into motion. The rules remain the same, produce a track of dub or deep techno for listeners to enjoy, and the artists this time around have not let us down. Along with Coppice Halifax and Anton Mayer… Soap, Textural Being, ISA and DeepWarmth make second appearances, but are joined in 2012 by the likes of Zzzzra, Ocralab, Martin Nonstatic, Kogyo, Seth B and AXS, making the second installment of this ongoing series a very strong compilation both in talent and in substance. Futur[e]cho 2 expands on the sonic equations of the first by introducing tech-house and more ambient elements to the show, but largely the compilation remains true to its original purpose of showcasing current and upcoming forces in the worlds of underground techno and electronic music.

May is the gateway to the summer, a month of contrasts, from the summer heat to the cold spring. For Cicuta Netlabel, this release is a good analogy to this, because we can go from poweful and dark techno to the most melodic and danceable techno.

The first release from Drift Deeper Recordings is a mixture of the music I love, a bit of dub techno, deep house, dub ambient all mixed into one amazing compilation.

The reason I chose to do a release like this is explained in the EP title ‘A taste of things to come’.  I wanted to find a wide range of tracks that I love and want to help promote to give you an idea of what you can expect in the future from Drift Deeper.  If you like tracks on this first release then you are going to love our future releases too.

I want to thanks all the artists who helped create this release.  I’m very proud of this first release and it would not have existed without all these talented people.

Please share this music if you like it.

With just half a dozen 12” releases to date since their birth in 2007, Ancient Methods (the label and act) have already placed a significant stamp on the picture of techno today. Using their long running experiences as resident DJs at Tresor Club Berlin, the pair began to produce together in 2005, forging a sound that some have described as ‘pitch black techno war funk’. While not an anonymous project, like some may believe, Ancient Methods feel comfortable to be viewed just through their music, rather than through any additional data or manifesto that is often expected in today’s information hungry world.

[CUT 011] Koloah – Love EP

Koloah – Love EP
Label: Cut (2) – CUT011
Format: 3 × File, MP3, EP, 320 kbps
Country: UK
Released: 12 Mar 2012
Genre: Electronic
Style: IDM, Techno

Koloah steps up to the plate for the eleventh Cut EP. The curiously titled Love EP is a three-track collection of deep stompers. Vocal hooks, solid skipped-up beats and slabs of synth.

The producer from Kiev has a real knack for catchy tracks featuring strong rhythmic elements, solid synth work, loopy vocals and deep bass tones.

Both deep and dancefloor fans alike should find something here, wether it's the rolling starter "In The Beginnin'", the hyped up stomp of "I'm In Love With U" or the more relaxed considerations within title track "Love".

Brassica is music by UK producer Michael Anthony Wright. A lineage from Disco-Funk, experimental music, Progressive Rock, 70s & 80s synth music and the history of sound in cinema is evident, yet doesn't accurately describe his artistically individual and self-mentored sound!

IA MIX 65 7even Recordings

IA MIX 65 7even Recordings
www.inverted-audio.com/7even-recordings
http://www.discogs.com/label/7even+Recordings

Based in France and run by DJ and promoter Greg G, 7even Recordings has been pushing some of the more abstract and interesting permutations to come from dub, techno and dubstep spheres. Established in 2008, its slowly growing roster of artists have had a strong output since its conception and in times when record companies are folding every week, 7even still provides listeners with a unique sound experience.

There is a ‘sound’ to the label and its producers, which include Helixir, F, Likhan, Ena, Joaan and Makoto, however it cannot be fully defined, an amalgamation of cavernous Techno, dubbed out atmospherics and rhythmical drums. Ever impressed with 7even's output we invited label founder Greg G to record a mix for IA as well as giving him the opportunity to shed light into the labels foundations and his journey to establishing the label.

Greg G recorded this mix at ENA’s studio, using vinyl and Traktor. Greg has included some of his deepest tracks in his collection and 75% of the tracks featured in the mix are unreleased.

Prosthetic Pressings Podcast 016 - Giorgio Gigli

http://www.podomatic.com/profile/info85068
http://www.facebook.com/pages/ZOOLOFT-records/110191745671789

After a deep exploration of several kinds of electronic dance music, in a broad evolutionary path, Giorgio Gigli's music has assumed an intense and personal form of communication. The modules emerging from his compositions run across a process where moods are transformed into waves, layers and substrates that are ready to catch and overwhelm the listener without changing original content. His skill is to transmit an accurate signal using undiscovered frequencies inspired by desolate and noir tinged landscapes. Giorgio transforms his material. Voids, pitfalls, drones and dilated melodies become intricate, sophisticated, and hypnotic rhythmic equipment that runs the risk of constantly changing classicist techno aesthetics in a conceptual derivation close to his soul.

Giorgio loves ambient music that dues to its descriptive power allows him to analyze and render every vibration and vision, both during production and his long dj sets, where he explores empty rooms that are filled with vintage recordings, ethereal drones and field sonority. This particular working method is also reflected in his harder sets, where rhythm increases tension while it is moving forward unchallenged through industrial echoes, robotic tricks and building grooves that produce shaped variations of his meaning. Substance thickens to provide a thoughtful and reflexive listening experience.

“I’ve really got very little info on this musician other than that he’s been making music for the past 13 years releasing on the Vault Series and Ann Aimee, lives in Berlin as a mastering engineer and avoids traceable public communication
No track list, just get your friends round, turn out the lights and start a party for the next 50 minutes!!!”

Smoke machine podcast has finally come to a milestone setting 50th release; not only we had to thank all the audiences’ support, and also all the participating artists. Our 50th podcast release is a very formidable mix from natural/electronic.system., this release was planned very long time ago, because we knew their music never disappoint. We had to especially thank the mnml ssgs crew, for their timeless top quality past natural/electronic.system. mixes, and for inviting n.e.s to Tokyo this March, the 7 hour event at Module and the 3 hour event in Dommune became some of the best show this year, which we were part of it, from deep, psychedelic to enchanting melodies blending perfectly together, all so seamlessly and enjoyable no one would want to miss any second of it, and that left us with a unforgettable experience and a high respect to them. We just have to let you have the same wonderful experiences.

In this mix you can hear a large quantity of futuristic sounds which you had never heard from the previous Smoke Machine mix, you will dance to the rhythm, you can close your eyes and imagining that the natural/electronic.system. is coming to our ORGANIK2012 outdoor party. Listen to this mix carefully, its pure beauty will cure your bruises and sooth your pains inside your heart… especially in an outdoor environment. For us the Smoke Machine crew, the 50th podcast is just another beginning, we knew searching for a special mix is not an easy task; thankfully n.e.s has fulfilled our desire this time. We hope that through those podcasts we can share quality music as much as possible. Thanks again to natural/electronic.system. for their wonderful heart felt mix, Enjoy.

Ideal Podcast Vol. 18 - Terence Fixmer

Ideal Podcast Vol. 18 - Terence Fixmer

Sombre, defined by surging rhythmical structures, Terence Fixmer’s music appeals as much to dancing feet, as it does to the searching soul.

Respected by his peers and adored by fans of radical over- and underground techno, electro, equally at ease in the club or at a pure techno festival, Terence reached this respected level, without ever succumbing to excessive promotion or subscribing to the mainstream.

His sound avoids repetition by developing soundscapes that appeal to the club crowd, whilst still maintaining musical depth and integrity. As a pioneer, he above all preserves an original style, an increasingly experimental, simultaneously ruthless and unrelenting interpretation of modern techno, which is instantly recognizable.

Juno Plus Podcast 34: Tessela

Juno Plus Podcast 34: Tessela
http://www.junodownload.com/plus/2012/05/09/juno-plus-podcast-34-tessela
http://www.juno.co.uk/artists/Tessela/

The West Country based producer might not be the most prolific, but he has certainly developed a distinct sound, focusing on a forthright, swinging and smacky production style that has graced a disparate but well respected clutch of UK labels thus far. Tessela first swung into focus with Slugger, the out of the blue debut for Irish beat botherers All City, before arising with meaty contributions to the 2nd Drop label and Punch Drunk. The latter was perhaps one of our favourite 12”s on Peverelist’s all conquering label in recent times, with “Channel” in particular demonstrating a rugged panache for box jam beats and cracking MPC funk.

The early promise Tessela showed on a remix of Truss for Perc Trax will be explored further with his forthcoming remix shaped contribution to the next release on the fledgling Vae Victis imprint from Die Roh duo Luca Segato and Marco Zanin.

The scene was set for a Juno Plus podcast then, and Tessela duly obliged with a thumping hour’s worth of music that throws in a tantalising sound of what to expect from Sunil Sharpe’s EP for Blawan and Pariah’s label She Works along with contributions from Juno Plus favourites D’Marc Cantu, Gerry Read, Alex Coulton and Geeeman. Tessela was also kind enough to engage in a bout of email Q &A for us.

Tracklisting:
1. Redshape – Mucky Bones (Present)
2. Gelosten Crikel – Yamagic (Mustache Records)
3. Andy Stott – Night Jewel (Modern Love)
4. Skudge – Silent Running (Dekmantel)

At least we know this guy is fantatsic and belongs to our Prologue Family.
